Our goal is to support families who are experiencing financial hardships due to Cancer or a Catastrophic Illness. VELAS Lighthouse looks to raise funds and bring awareness to the community about the issues affecting families when a loved one is diagnosed with Cancer or a Catastrophic Illness.
Since the inception of this program, families have received assistance with utility bills, rent, medical equipment, food and other household items.
Families are identified with the collaboration of our community partners and the community at large.
When you support the VELAS Lighthouse Program, you help us provide direct services to our Families, Individuals and Seniors. Our program runs solely on private donations being received from individuals, businesses and our community partners. VELA will continue to host fundraising events in order to make this program possible.
